I wrote this story for a mini contest. =) Happy reading.
Title: Robbie.
It was Monday morning, another day for school. Most times I wouldn’t want to go to school but this time…
This time he will be there. I couldn’t wait to see him. Him. The most beautiful perfect guy I have ever seen. His name was Robbie and boy was he cute. He was in my Biology class and he was sitting two desks in front of me.
When I got to school, I scanned the court yard looking for him. There he was, standing in the corner chatting with some other guys from the basketball team. Just at that moment, Robbie turned a looked in my direction. I nearly lost my balance and stumbled, dropping my books in process. I dropped to my knees and started picking them up. A pair of hands picked up my Spanish text book just as I was about to grab it. I stood up and gasped. It was Robbie.
“Hey are you ok?” he asked, concerned.
“Yeah sure I’m fine,” I gave a weak smile.
This is your chance now, ask him out! The little voice in my brain said.
“Umm Robbie, IWasWonderingIfYouAreFreeOnSaturday,” I said quickly.
Robbie frowned and said, “Sorry I didn’t get that.”
I took a deep breath and said it slowly,” I was wondering if you are free on Saturday.”
Robbie started laughing and my face turned a deep shade of red.
“Are you asking me out?” Robbie asked, mouth twitching.
“Y-y-es,” I stammered.
“Sorry Steph but I’m gay. I only date guys,” Robbie whispered.
My jaw fell open.

So this is my first book review. I’ll try not to have any spoilers here.
Might take a day to complete it so here goes.
Title: Geek Magnet
Author: Kieran Scott
Age: 12+
Synopsis: Everyone loves KJ Miller, especially the geeks. She’s pretty, smart, and super nice to everyone, which has made her the geek pied piper of Washington High. If only Cameron, the star of the basketball team, would follow her around and worship her the way her dorky entourage does.
As the stage manager of the spring musical, Grease, KJ has to deal with a few geeks, but she also gets to hang out with Tama, queen of the popular crowd and star of the play. Tama has the solution to all of KJ’s problems: get cruel. After all, the nice girl never gets the guy. Can KJ actually pull off a transformation into a mean girl?
I picked this book up at the library because the main character was a stage manager and I am into theatre stuff.
I admit I am quite a drama queen sometimes. The book started off well and it was boring at all. I was expecting a typical boring romance novel but it was engrossing! And I think I fell in love with one of the characters. Robbie. Move over Edward Cullen, enter Robbie Delano.
The book revolves around KJ who all the geeks are attracted too. But she has her eyes on the hottest guy in school, Cameron Richardson. Unfortunately, Cameron barely notices her and does not follow her around and worship her the way her entourage of dorks do. But things start to look up when Tama Gold starts teaching her to be mean. Kieran Scott describes the scenes so clearly that I can picture them in my mind.
